Homeflair are a growing business within Rotherham. The Junction has helped this business link up with a really good workforce of unemployed local people and the benefits they bring.

The Junction was referred to Homeflair Village through Brij Chagger, Business Development Manager, at The Chamber who was contacted with a request for recruitment support.

Brij had been helpful in discussions with the owner of Homeflair, Mr Khan and Mr Ward who was looking to start a new initiative within Homeflair Village - A Garden Centre and Restaurant.

Brij introduced Mr Khan and Mr Ward to Karen Shaw at The Junction to talk about recruitment support for 8 Garden Centre Assistants and 6 Restaurant Assistants.

The Junction helped the employer with the required vacancy adverts and job descriptions. We then took this information to the local organisations working with unemployed people. We found applicants who were really looking for work and it became clear that the role Mr Khan & Mr Ward had to offer was perfect for them.

Group assessments took place coordinated by Karen at The Junction then the short-listed applicants were invited to attend interviews at Homeflair Village. From this people were offered employment for positions within the Garden Centre and the Restaurant at Parkgate.

Karen also knew of a pot of money that the Junction could help the business access as it was offering bulk vacancies.

By talking to Job Centre Plus we established there was a potential payment of £1,000.00 to the business for every eligible candidate employed.

This level of support subsequently resulted in Homeflair Village offering a further 3 vacancies to The Junction to fill.
